![]() We like to ensure a happy and peaceful stay for all guests and are very sorry you did not enjoy your visit.Welcome to the boutique hotel Marina Sands Bijou!īijou in every detail, in every taste and experience of course! Your dogs were cute and your room was left in nice condition, however, I did ask about the dogs' wellbeing out of concern and other guests also expressed direct concerns to me regarding the barking. Regarding pets, we do love dogs and we are dog friendly in one of our rooms and of course accept service dogs. We are working hard to make our guests happy and appreciate the feedback. On a brighter note, as we update we intend to place small refrigerators between rooms to better accommodate our guests. Regarding the refrigerator situation, as a long time guest of the inn, it seems you would have remembered that there were no mini fridges in the rooms. We are sorry you took issue with it, your reservation was sadly, poorly managed by the old staff. This was by no means your fault, but we had to reach out for clarity. We had no knowledge that your two dogs were joining, nor did we have any payment information or payment on record. Yours only contained the dates, contact info and some random notations. ![]() When we took over, we attempted to honor all existing reservations. Your specific reservation was made multiple years ago and transferred over and over due to extenuating circumstances related to Covid. Its clear you were upset, so it seems best to explain some of the background details. ![]() We have taken some time to reply as many of the issues regarding your stay were unique. We just wanted to reach out to thank you for your review and share some information. She was not very nice about the situation and I am glad they are no longer pet friendly becuse I would never stay here again. I told her the reason they were crying was becuse they heard her and probably thought it was us returning. She mentioned she was upstairs near our room doing work and the dogs were crying and she hoped they were OK. When we got back later that day I went downstairs to get the dog food (Sunday) and Katheryn was in the kitchen doing paperwork. ![]() One afternoon we left them in our room and enjoyed an afternoon in places that were not pet friendly. Misty was very nice and very friendly, but the owner, Katheryn seemed very put out that she had to honor our reservations with our dogs in tow. So we had to use that to keep our dog food in for our two toy poodles. I don't like the fact they there are no mini fridges in each room and you have to keep your items in the fridge in the master kitchen. We stayed in the upstairs room that we always stay in. They are no longer pet friendly, but the new owner reluctantly let us keep our reservation since we made it so long ago, but not without all kinds of back and forth e-mails requesting proof that the reservation was in fact made and partially paid for. Apparently the Pinkney was sold between our last visit in 2019 and the pandemic of 2020, and is now the Bijou. We always made our reservations for the following year before we would leave, because my boyfriend does the Cooper River Bridge 10K. We stayed here since 2017, when it was the Palmers Pinkney B & B.
